Coffee With the Brethren

Coffee tables didn't exist as a furniture form until the 1920s (when they were known as cocktail tables). So while there is no true Shaker coffee table, this design works well with other Shaker-influenced furniture.

A coffee table can’t really be called an authentic piece of Shaker furniture, but this table’s influences are easily recognizable to fans of the style. Build it with Cherry and give it a suitable stain, and this simple piece will fit right in with any Shaker pieces in your home.
